About

GEGA - Gallus Enriched Gene Annotation

Explore GEGA

Filters can be easily applied to extract an information table about i) one specific gene, ii) a gene list of interest (e.g., differentially expressed genes) or iii) a genomic region (e.g., QTL region). You can extract via an interactive table: gene expression, configuration of the genomics closest gene according to biotype (protein coding gene, lncRNA, miRNA), orthology with human and mouse species, functional annotation (GoTerms from human, mouse and chicken; mouse terms/phenotype from MGI). You can also access to gene model characteristics, gene occurrence in the 6 sources used for identification of the 78,323 genes, the gene identifier equivalence between NCBI-RefSeq and EMBL-Ensembl references and between the galgal5, GRCg6a and GRCg7b assemblies of the chicken genome.

Expression graphical view

Visualize gene expression profiles for a given tissue, or across different tissues, ages and sexes, with interactive heatmaps, scatterplots and barplot graphs that can be easily adjusted to suit your needs.

Download data

All the annotation and expression data are available to download. In addition, each chart and its attached data can be also exported in different formats.
